Card Ministry

It's nice to receive a card and know that in time of need, St. Henry's Parish Community is thinking of you and praying for you. As family and friends inform the parish staff of people who are ill or deceased, an appropriate card is sent to the person who is ill or the family of the deceased.

At Christmas, Easter, Valentines, spring and fall seasons and Thanksgiving, greting cards are delivered to the Catholic Residence, the Monticello Nursing Hime, St. Benedict's, Mississippi Shores, service men and women, Catechumens and Special Needs. Volunteers will write a special message inside the cards. The cards are then signed "St. Henry Parish Family." To cut the sot there are plans to collect used cards and recycle them. Used or new cards may be left in the Gathering Space at church in the cabinet marked card ministry. We as a parish are sending about 1200 cards a year.
